The Recorder Boot Camp approach is quite simple: give children time to develop the basics of playing the soprano recorder in an engaging, encouraging, and sequential way. Songs build upon previous concepts, giving children opportunities to become better acclimated with the instrument and its function. The music (available for download HERE) is repetitive and emulates the popular music children hear at home, in the car, and from their peers. Songs feature varied genres, major and minor keys, duple and triple meter, and varied tempi, all while establishing the foundational notes of B, A, G, and E. Use Recorder Boot Camp by itself or concurrently with any other recorder curriculum; your students will LOVE this basic training!
